What brings you JOY? I know a big one for many of us is the change of seasons and the approaching of spring and summer. I was looking at the list of 50 Things That Bring Us Joy that I sent you as we started 2024, and I thought I’d take a moment to concentrate on one of them today. If you’d like to see the entire list let me know.

#21: Taking a moment to be thankful for the present
We worry a lot – about yesterday and tomorrow and a million things we have no control over. We tend to lose sight of what is right in front of us today. Life is truly a special occasion and it goes fast. The days, the years, the moments. So, take time right now to be in the present and be thankful.

Your parents, kids, friends, spouse, partner, neighbors, loved ones, and colleagues won’t be around forever. Have you told them how important they are to you, written them a note, given them a hug or two, picked up the telephone, or faced timed them? Do you have a person that is always there for you no matter what? Do you tell them how much that means to you?

Do you put your phone down and talk to your kids, grandkids, friends, people you love? Get up instead of texting from the next room, share a moment, a coffee, a cocktail, a smile, a story, a laugh. Make memories.

As we grow older perhaps this becomes more important as time becomes more precious, so don’t wait. As I look into my granddaughters’ eyes and see love, hear their laughter, and see the joy in their eyes in every moment, I feel absolute JOY.

If you are thinking about a new Home Sweet Home or need to talk about home options please let me know. I am thankful for every minute and for each of you. Your support, referrals, hugs, and love bring me so much JOY and I am truly grateful for this moment!

Happy Spring!
